Mainstage ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Mainstage iOS application ("the App").
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your email address and display name when you create an account.
- Profile information: Any additional profile details you choose to add, such as a bio, profile photo, or linked social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud).
- Event data: Events you mark as attending, save, or interact with.
- Step count data: With your explicit permission via Apple HealthKit, we access your step count data to power venue leaderboards and activity tracking features.
- Usage data: General app usage information to help us improve the experience.
- Content you create: Posts, comments, messages, and video clips you share in the app.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide personalised event recommendations.
- To power social features such as friend connections and community leaderboards.
- To display your profile to other users within the app.
- To send in-app notifications you have opted into.
- To improve and develop new features of the app.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — Database and authentication. Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Stream — Video hosting for event clips. Privacy Policy
- Apple HealthKit — Step count data (only accessed with your permission).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings, which permanently and irreversibly removes all of your personal data from our systems.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data by deleting your account in-app or contacting us.
- Withdraw consent for HealthKit access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.
Children's Privacy
Mainstage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
